NFL HALL OF FAMER TO BE “ROAST” OF THE TOWN


Larry Little, a member of the National Football League Hall of Fame and one of the players on the 1972 Miami Dolphins undefeated team will be honored with a fun-filled dinner and roast on Friday November 14th, from 7pm to 10pm at Barchetta on the Bay located at 1601 79th Street Causeway, Miami, FL 33141.

Larry Little’s Honorary Dinner and Roast will be hosted by another Dolphin great, 6 time Pro Bowl guard Bob Kuechenberg and will feature prominent Dolphin legends, other NFL greats, and local corporate executives coming together to honor Mr. Little for his past achievements in the NFL, as well as his outstanding contributions to the community. The event is being produced by the Igbo Cultural Association with all proceeds going to building the African International Museum, a cathedral which will be built to preserve and protect African and Diaspora historical relationships. Invited guests will include Don Shula, Dwight Stephenson, Jim Kiick, Mercury Morris, Manny Fernandez, Earl Morrall, Ted Hendrick and Cornelius Bennett. Tickets are $100 per person.

About Larry Little

Larry Little was a cornerstone of the most decorated team in NFL history, the 1972 undefeated Miami Dolphins. After playing collegiate football at Bethune Cookman University, he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Diego Chargers in 1967. He was later traded to the Miami Dolphins in 1969 where he played 15 seasons and led the way for Mercury Morris, Jim Kiick and hall of famer Larry Csonka. He was voted to 6 pro bowl appearances and played in 19 postseason games. In 1999, Mr. Little was name to Sporting News top 100 greatest football players and in 2007 was named to the Florida High School Association All Century Team.

Welcome to the Home of the Igbo Cultural Association

The Igbo Cultural Association (ICA) was incorporated In the State of Florida in October 2003. ICA has organized cultural events, festivals, educational seminars and children's instructional programs on an annual basis.

Amongst ICA's Board of Trustees are four past Presidents of Nigeria/lgbo associations in South Florida, all of who are versed in the organization and operations of their various social/cultural associations.

Furthermore, included in the membership of ICA are individuals who in their past and present corporate, business and governmental organizations have hands-on experience in the functional areas that will be instrumental to the success of the African International Museum.

Finally, the professional staff who will be involved in the day-to-day running of the operations of African International Museum (AIM) possess the required experience and qualifications for performance in their various assigned positions.
